Nitride Bonded Silicon Carbide
NITRON™ Nitride Bonded Silicon Carbide (NBSiC) is designed for exceptional wear resistance and can be formed into very intricate and precise shapes with the Blasch process. It has desirable refractory and chemical properties, and can also exhibit exceptional wear and thermal shock resistance.
ADVANTAGES OF NITRON
- Superior dimensional control and uniformity of properties wherever Nitride Bonded Silicon Carbide is required
- Excellent thermal shock characteristics improve performance and saves operating costs
- Reduce spalling and erosion last longer than steels and rubber
- Good corrosion resistance
- Won’t crack at high or severe temperature changes
