Blasch Welcomes Patrick Castel to Applications Engineering
Albany, NY – January 4, 2021
Blasch Precision Ceramics, an expanding Albany-based manufacturing company specialized in ceramic technology, is pleased to announce its latest full-time additions to the Applications Engineering department: Patrick Castel, Applications Engineer.
In this capacity, some of Patrick’s responsibilities include analyzing process factors in customer applications to determine optimal solution, performing initial product design, including detail drawings for proposals, and directly interact with customers on new and existing issues. Patrick will also create mold designs and mold prints, implement new design improvements and 3D drawings as required, and participate in short term manufacturing problem solving regarding issues of quality and/or cost among other duties.
Patrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. As part of his Multidisciplinary Capstone Design, Patrick worked with a team of six to create digital standard operating procedures for multiple labs using Virtual Knowledge Share software, emphasizing Smart Manufacturing techniques. In addition, he was selected to assist and train an 11 member team in creating digital standard operating procedures.
